Autodesk Construction Cloud to join Autodesk Forma on March 24

Autodesk has announced a significant evolution in its Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AECO) strategy. Effective March 24, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) will officially join Autodesk Forma, solidifying a singular, end-to-end industry cloud designed to connect the entire project lifecycle.

    The Vision Behind Autodesk Forma

First unveiled at AU25, Autodesk Forma was envisioned as the pioneering cloud-based, AI-native platform specifically engineered to integrate the people, data, and workflows fundamental to shaping the built environment. This strategic move to incorporate Autodesk Construction Cloud directly into Forma underscores a long-term commitment to fostering a more connected and continuous environment for teams throughout every phase of a project.

    Evolving Product Naming for Clarity

To align with its new position within the Autodesk Forma industry cloud, several key Autodesk Construction Cloud products will undergo naming updates. These changes reflect their integration while maintaining core functionality:

    • Autodesk Docs → Forma Data Management
    • Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro → Forma Design Collaboration
    • Autodesk Build → Forma Build
    • Autodesk Takeoff → Forma Takeoff

These updated names will gradually appear across product interfaces and Autodesk web properties starting March 24, 2026.

Ensuring Continuity and Stability for Users

Crucially, this transition represents a brand and platform evolution, not a disruptive overhaul. Autodesk assures users that all existing workflows, APIs, third-party integrations, licensing agreements, login experiences, and critical customer data will remain entirely intact. The powerful capabilities and robust performance that professionals currently rely on will continue to be delivered without interruption or the need for data migration.

Acaddes Pro-Tip: The integration of Autodesk Construction Cloud into Forma creates a seamless Common Data Environment (CDE). This unification is key to reducing data fragmentation, enabling stakeholders from design to construction to make more informed and confident decisions based on a single source of truth.

The Power of a Unified Data Environment

The incorporation of Autodesk Construction Cloud into Forma establishes Forma Data Management as the foundational common data environment. This strategic consolidation ensures that information flows seamlessly from early planning and design stages through construction and into operations. This integrated approach is pivotal in mitigating fragmentation, enhancing data consistency, and empowering more confident decision-making across the entire AECO project lifecycle.

Autodesk will continue to provide comprehensive resources and support to assist customers throughout this transition. The commitment remains steadfast: to deliver intelligent, connected workflows that empower AECO professionals to design and build with unprecedented clarity, collaboration, and confidence.
